I'll say in at all, but Mich is not a guarantee. you also might get a YP from someone. Why aren't you applying to more t14s, specifically Boalt?

With that GPA you should be aiming higher?

Boalt's rep in Michigan is as a California school alone. I don't know anyone from Michigan who went to Berkeley. If you go to california, it's for stanford.
Write an AWESOME, impassioned, 'why mich' and send it in IMMEDIATELY and I think you have a dec. chance.
Good luck

i thought about boalt because that is really the only other t14 where I could even stand a chance based on lsat, but I just can't see myself living i california. also, sophie i love the pic.

ok, then why apply to UCLA? too bad you missed the Mich deadline for ED. I think if you like Vandy, then Duke would be reasonable. Northwestern too. your list of schools just seem odd for your numbers and regional preference.

I will probably drop UCLA, I was mostly considering that range because that is where my numbers fit. I also initially thought about scholarship bartering with other schools (i don't really know a whole lot about this stuff), but then I realized that I probably wouldn't get any $ from that range anyways so they mostly stuck around because of fee waivers. I really want the midwest. Also I would have done michigan ED in a heartbeat, but I already had a commitment for the whole summer during which I will be out of the country.

no it's a decent list, you just leave out a few within that range.
If I were you, my list would include:
Cornell, GULC, Michigan, Vandy, UT, UVA, Stanford, maybe USC and Illinois.
Then maybe pick another reach or two you like (Duke maybe?) and another safety (WUSTL?)

oK thanks I will keep that in mind. I didn't include a few of my TTT safeties on the list because according to the data on LSAC they accepted 98-100% of the people in my range last year.
