Well that doesn't sound promising. Thanks for the reply though.JDHopeful wrote:FYI, I was rejected by George Mason via email last week with a 3.63 & a 161.
Yeah GPA certainly won't be overlooked. They still have to report it to USNews. It helps a little that you are far removed from it, but its still a 2.4. I think the URM and 160 will afford you some pretty good options though.Justathought wrote:Thanks for the response. I hope you're right.kkklick wrote:You're a mature, URM, the standards that apply to the general applicants don't apply to you. I have a feeling you will get in somewhere, for a mature applicant a 160 is pretty good.
I have a buddy who is finishing LS at age 32, non-urm, didn't have a GPA too much better than mine, and an LSAT that was lower. He ended up getting into a solid program and assures me I'll be going somewhere decent next fall. My pre-law advisor also said that my GPA will largely be overlooked, but I worry they are just telling me things I want to hear. I came on TLS for a dose of reality.
Good to hear, thanks for the response.FuManChusco wrote:

It is on TLSJustathought wrote:T.
Plus a 160 isn't a bad LSAT.
Yeah, I figured you would enjoy a challenge!serdog wrote: as a URM splitter mature student you are very hard to Chance.
