3.3/160

Undergrad: NYU
GPA:3.36
LSAT:160

I am an undergrad at NYU and from a needy family (disabled mother). I am looking at Suffolk University in Boston, but know that I can only attend (thanks to undergrad debt and financial situation) if I am awarded a large scholarship. I have written an interest letter expressing my desire to attend and my situation to an extent and added it to my application.

So I guess I would be eternally grateful if someone might chance me and let me know my prospects for being able to attend on some sort of merit aid?

Anyone? I'm just looking for a sense of where I'm at?

What do you mean an interest letter expressing your situation?

I'm guessing you meant that you wrote a letter saying you can't come unless they give you lots of money?

That probably isn't going to help your admission chances.

Couldn't you get need based aid...?

No, I basically said that if I was admitted and could afford to attend that I would enroll (aka that I wasn't applying to use Suffolk as a safety)

That letter might not have been the best idea...

I didn't send it yet, if I might bother to ask you why you think it isn't a good idea? I spoke with the admissions office and they said if Suffolk is my first choice and I am clearly very interested that an addendum noting that would be useful for my application.
