Chance me? Also, any suggestions in the SE for some other schools that would actually allow me to pay off debt when I graduate? haha

I checked LSN and LSP - consider for both UNC (48%) and Wake (50%).
I guess I'm asking here b/c LSP doesn't take into account state residency, which is pretty important for UNC. Also, I think I have some decent softs that will help me a little since I think my numbers are really close.

If you've got some cash, I'd maybe throw an app out to Emory, UGA, UF (to leverage scholarships), UT-K (same), and, of course, ED to UVA.

OP has a "chance" at Emory (hence the "if you have some cash" and "maybe" which preceded the comment). He's not that far below their numbers, and has as good a soft factor combo as I've seen short of being a URM, TFA or whatever. Schools like to admit people who a) increase their diversity factor and b) are likely to get a job after they graduate. A person of Asian heritage and experience as a CPA at a Big Four probably meets those two categories.

You clearly missed the wall that Emory puts up at 166. Asian heritage and CPA? Are you serious? That's not diverse at all. Schools like people who bring their numbers up. They don't really care about anything else. It' easy to miss the sarcasm when you list another school that OP has no chance at.

Yeah, Emory's a sucker for high LSATs. It's why their median GPA is only a 3.57.

You'll be in at both UNC and Wake. Wake seems to be more law-firm oriented, UNC more public service oriented.

You'll get some money from both, though how much is up in the air. Compare offers and attend one of those two. No other correct choices if you want to practice in NC.

I hear UGA has good reach in NC...but I'm not in-state. I want to go to UNC more than anything but I'm just looking for other options (not necessarily safeties) but other slight reaches to leverage the risk. Thanks guys.

I would say 164+ is considered high in normal standards (90%), but TLS-wise, I'd say 168+ is the threshold for being considered a high score.

In at Wake Forest! Found out 12/20.

UNC is still my number 1 but it will be a few months I think before I hear.
