I've been so bored at work, I've just been responding to what are my chances threads all day. Yours is probably the toughest I've seen. You're literally borderline at like every school. I would say USC, UCLA, and UT are out. Wustl is tough without a 167 and emory is tough without a 166. GW/BC/BU/Fordham look good because of that 3.8+. I know you probably don't want to hear it but retaking might be your best move if you think you can improve. 2 points would completely change your cycle and 3 points would probably make you a t14 lock.

Do as said above. Retake, get a 170 + and you are looking no lower than Michigan or UVA.

I'm happy to go to BU. I can't retake. I've already applied to these schools and had a nightmare LSAT situation. My 165 is literally 10 points below my practice test average.

I certainly understand this sentiment. People say "Retake" so readily. It is not so easily for many of us, despite a lot of diligent studying and practice.

I can't see how BU or BC won't take you, barring something catastrophic in your app process.

Yeah, I love Boston and would be happy to study and practice there. It's maddening that literally 2 LSAT questions can make or break an application. When I was studying, I would hit 170+ every single on time on tests ranging from PT 20-60. I used to sneak into Kaplan centers to take the test under timed, classroom conditions. But the stress of the test center on test day just ended up killing me.

if you really want to retake, it's very easy to ask a school to take a 4th time. they'll request that LSAC let you take it again. many people on the boards have done it I believe. either way you'll get in somewhere worth going. I guess it really depends on how debt averse you are and what your dream school is.
