Law school predictor says you're probably in at any school to which you apply.

I'd say you're in at H, consideration from both Y and S.

Thanks for the replies, based on numbers I'm pretty at ease, for me its just an issue of how much my lack of extracurriculars could hurt me. Also, any opinions on whether I should be including the Libertarian Club in my applications?

Don't think they will care much either way if you include it or not. If you are lacking in softs I would include it...I don't think Adcomms will hold something against you just because you were in a club that might represent your political views.

IMO, don't mention the Libertarian thing. It isn't that great of a soft factor to begin with, so don't take a chance - it can only hurt you.

Plus, the Ivey Guide mentions that most adcomm's are left-leaning. They probably won't appreciate your perspective.

I think OP should mention this
he/she doesn't have a lot of other extracuriculars. Having a club he/she started and was president of could suggest she was just very dedicated.
Could work very well for her

I'm no expert. Just my two cents.

The thing is, lack of extra-curricular activities at HYS CAN hurt you. And I highly doubt that the adcomms at those schools (or any law school) will be petty enough to let their "left-leaningness" affect their admissions decisions.

lol I think you have enough extracurricular activities. I'm of the opinion you should include the Libertarian experience, if anything it might even benefit you since they want to create a diverse class anyway. It's not like you were the president of the Nationalist Socialist party.

That's a very calm, measured way of expressing your rage. Extra creepy!

Uhh dude he can't possibly aspire to be an anteater. If he did, he would snort the anthill. He's clearly trying to be a dragon, since he's burning the ant hill.

I agree, but it's not that you should not post anything at all; rather, you misidentified what you are asking. You OBVIOUSLY are not asking what your chances are at any school because hopefully those numbers of yours are somewhat indicative of your thinking abilities (i.e. indicative of the fact that you should already be well aware of the admission statistics at the top law schools). Instead you are asking for advice about whether or not to include some of your extracurriculars in your application.

IMO, I would certainly include it since it shows your passion and dedication to something and since you do not have a large pool of activities to select from. I would not be scared of the admissions committees being "left-leaning." My guess is that they want as diverse of a student body as they can get (without sacrificing their admissions numbers, of course) and that you will only add to that.

But in order to appease other people on this site, please think carefully about what your actual law school admission question/concern is and use the appropriate forum. This is not it. Nonetheless, congrats on your academic success thus far.
