Rise in grades after freshman year, GPA addendum, major-GPA at ~3.5, decent softs (WE during school, student government), OK LORs, don't feel like retaking or gaining WE then going back to school.

What are my chances at the t20 schools?

GPA: 3.1xx
LSAT: 171 (looks like I had a case of the missing 1s)

Small shot at Michigan and Gulc part time. Good shot at UVA if you apply ED. None if you don't.

You'll get WUSTL with some small money. Minn with decent money, UIUC with decent money.

You'll get WUSTL with some small money. Minn with decent money, UIUC with decent money.

Out at Cornell.

Nowhere. Well St Louis + greater midwest, Minnesota, and Chicago respectively. But not in very high number right now.

I wouldn't get my hopes up for Cornell - most likely R or WL, I'd say.

I'm not sure about WUSTL, but Minn feeds into Minneapolis and UIUC into Chicago, I believe.

What's the best school (and by that I simply mean school w/ best firm placement in decent market) I could get into, besides UVa ED (better get on that)?

UVA ED just outright rejected a 3.3, 170 so that probably is a longshot at this point.

Yea but 170 is their median correct? Wouldn't above median have a much better chance?

Splitter cycles are notoriously hard to predict, so it's really hard to say.

HYSCCNP are all out (V if no ED as well), as well as D, N if you have no work experience, and most likely the lower C. Like mentioned previously, you have a shot at Michigan (though small) and Georgetown (I think FT you should have a shot at). Fortunately V has a late ED deadline, because that's really your best shot at breaking into the T-14. Otherwise, you run a very real risk of being shut out, in which case you should still be able to get some $$ from the T25. As to answer your market/placement question, I'm not really sure - Illinois doesn't have THE best placement into Chicago (I think Northwestern dominates) but it does pretty freaking well there.

Also, don't be scared off by the 3.3/170 being shut out of V - it happens all the time, numbers you 'think' were a lock not getting in. V could be changing their model or accidentally screwed over the applicant in some way - regardless, Virginia has a 15 day turnaround so I think it's worth shooting them an ED if you really want T14.

What 15-25 schools are my best options, and which have the best employment prospects? I've heard of having to "do the Wustl."

WUSTL, Illinois, and Minnesota are the most splitter-friendly T25 schools.
