i didnt figure i would, just kind of looking at numbers and thought I would ask. saved around 1000 bucks on app fees that i was planning on spending, and figured i'd apply to a few reach schools.

You could always save yourself hundreds of thousands of dollars and retake. Just a thought.

With a 165+ you're a lock. IU admits below-median LSAT scorers, but often not with a GPA below their 25th. And if you do get in, you're not in their typical scholarship range. It's worth a shot, though, especially if you get a fee waiver.

I have around the same numbers (3.1/164) and I applied ED at IU-B. Law school predictor gave me a 'consider', and I've seen several with our numbers that got some kind of scholarship. So it's not hopeless.

As silly as it sounds (and I think the arbitrariness of law school admissions can only be described as silly), that one LSAT point matters a lot to IU. They like their median of 164 and there's a big distinction between 164 and 163 to IU.
