Hey everyone.
Average softs/LORs. Not URM.
Interested in staying in the mid-west, or going out west or the pnw. I think my list reflects this. If anyone has suggestions for other schools given my numbers, feel free to add them.
Just wondering what my chances look like at some places - I'm okay with non-T14 really. Especially interested in getting a sense of what my money offers might look like:
Cornell
UIUC
Indiana-Bloomington
WUSTL
William & Mary
Colorado
UMN
UND
Washington

Your list looks good. I would add USC as a reach.

You're a lock for money at UIUC, IU, W&M, CU, Minn. A lock for admission at WUSTL, Wash, ND. Cornell is a good target. You could probably get into a couple T-14s, but if you don't want to, don't do it.

Add UT which is a good target school. Maybe Vandy/UCLA if you want but those are kind of reaches.

Okay, 0L, slash through my statement if you wish, but with a decent app, a 166 and a high GPA can get you a nod from the lower T14. I promise.

My concern with UT/USC/UCLA is I'm not interested in working in Texas or California. How do they place throughout the mountain west/pacific northwest compared to Colorado/Washington in particular?
Is there a T14 in particular other than Cornell you'd recommend as my best shot? Looking around Cornell looked like my best chance which was why I picked it.

Hey thanks for posting this thread. I am in almost the exact same position as you (schools, preference, numbers, etc.) I'm a little anxious to hear what other people think as well.

Slim shot at Cornell, but that's it.

Let's review your statement.
"A couple of t14"
Only t14 op has a shot at is Cornell where OP is at 25th/above Median.
Everywhere else he is below/below except for Berkeley but they are messed up in their admissions process anyways.

+1, and a very slim shot at that. Of the 17 LSN applicants with a 3.7+/166, they only took one in May.

Anyone able to shed some light on this for me? I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks for the help with the T14 part, I'm going to stick with just Cornell.

My knowledge is anecdotal. I have several friends with high GPAs who got into lower T-14s with 164-166 last cycle. Admission's not probable, but possible. I never said OP was a lock at any T-14s. Not applying to any but Cornell is a poor decision, though, unless you really don't care about working in a big firm.

Except 3.75 is not a high GPA for T14s, so they're not going to give you too much leeway on the LSAT.

It's actually below median for almost all.

Just wondering what my chances look like at some places - I'm okay with non-T14 really. Especially interested in getting a sense of what my money offers might look like:
Cornell WL/Out
UIUC WL/In
Indiana-Bloomington In

Colorado In
UMN WL/In
UND WL/In
Washington In
With your GPA, you're right on the cusp for UMN and UND. Apply as soon as possible, or better yet, retake to bolster your chances. 3.75 is a decent GPA, but not enough to force open any doors for the T14. I have the same LSAT score and a 3.94. Even then, I expect to be WL/Rejected at most of the lower T14. Maybe I can sneak into Cornell and Berkeley.
