Boalt you have an ever so slim shot if you've got a great story. You almost assuredly won't make it in, but I'd try.
BU shot is so-so, only because of your GPA. BC less than BU.
ED at UVA and you're in. Out without ED.
Out at the rest.
Retake if you don't think you're maxed out.

Re: 164/3.975
No assurances anywhere, but shots at W&M, BC, BU, Berkeley, Fordham and UVA ED. Out everywhere else.Demeter wrote:Have taken the LSAT twice now, first score 160, retake 164. Undergrad GPA 3.975. Currently in the Peace Corps.
Chances at:
William and Mary
UVA
Fordham
Georgetown
Penn
Boston College
Boston University
Berkeley
Retake and profit.

Re: 164/3.975
Early Decision at UVA takes 15 days max for an answer. If accepted, it's binding. If wait-listed, you're free to apply elsewhere. Look at LawSchoolNumbers.com for UVA and click on applicants for last year's cycle. You'll see several people with your numbers or lower LSAT's accepted ED. Apply pronto and do everything in your power to make all parts of the application shine. If you're likeable and they are convinced you will do well there, your numbers will balance out someone with a with an LSAT above their mean and a GPA below. Good luck!

Thanks for the replies, they help put things into focus. I still have a year left of service in the Peace Corps so a retake is possible.

Re: 164/3.975
i think you guys are taking the LSAT too far. a 164 is not below the median of some of these schools, and his GPA is substantially above it.Demeter wrote:Have taken the LSAT twice now, first score 160, retake 164. Undergrad GPA 3.975. Currently in the Peace Corps.
Chances at:
William and Mary
UVA
Fordham
Georgetown
Penn
Boston College
Boston University
Berkeley
William and Mary--in with $
UVA --waitlist, i'd ED, you have a shot here with their ED philosophy
Fordham--in, no $
Georgetown--WL then out
Penn--out
Boston College--in
Boston University--in
Berkeley--definitively out.
