AA Male 3.23/170
Hey everyone, I am an AA male with a 3.23 from a state university in florida and a 170 on the LSAT. Any ideas?

Apply everywhere. Hope for the best. You're a lock for the T14 but beyond that I'm not really sure. I'm sure someone else will have better info to offer. Not too many AA males with 170s floating around. Congrats.

I'd apply liberally to the T-14, maybe some top-20 for financial leverage.
I don't think you need to apply to Howard. With a decent essay you should get some $ from a t-14 school.
I 2nd the congrats!

Congrats on your 170. Now I'll really respect you if you have the guts to leave your race off the application.

Also, go ahead and leave out your resume and personal statement, because we don't want law schools to know about the things that have shaped our experiences throughout lifechitown825 wrote:Congrats on your 170. Now I'll really respect you if you have the guts to leave your race off the application.

Harvard.
YLS worth the app but it would be tough even with URM. Depending on your softs...relatively low GPA for YLS. But if I were you, I'd be applying to most of the t-14 just to see what kind of $$$ I can get.
Congrats and enjoy the ride!

Congratulations. A 170 is a major achievement regardless of race. A friend of mine has a full ride at UVA after getting a 170. His gpa was a 3.8 though. Good luck with your cycle.king-james wrote:Hey everyone, I am an AA male with a 3.23 from a state university in florida and a 170 on the LSAT. Any ideas?

Also, to actually answer OP's question... GPA is kind of low, which makes HYS more iffy, but they're still worth applying to. Blanket the T14, expect several acceptances and offers of $$$, enjoy the hard decision most people only dream of having.

HYS is out with that low GPA, but every other T14 looks good.

I don't know that I believe that HYS are out.
A Black man with a 170 is in the 99th percentile for Black test takers. I'm willing to be ANY schools would seriously consider your app...
