Yup, if you want one of CCN you should ED for sure. Columbia being the least likely and NYU being the most likely. Harvard and Stanford are 0% chances so I wouldn't worry about missing out on them.

so my gpa is dragging me down that badly? i thought 175 should be good enough to feel good about nyu and possibly columbia.

I would say that Chicago is actually the most likely.

look at LSN. Lawschoolpredictor is bad for people with disparities in numbers like yours. And to the above, looking at LSN makes me think NYU is more likely.

Agreed--Law School Numbers shows you on the cusp. To be safe, I would lean toward ED at NYU or Columbia. I am in a similar position (3.54/177) and am on the fence re: applying ED to NYU (my first choice). Kicking myself for the first 2 years of undergrad...

I would bet that you would get Columbia ED, but that OP would not. OP I think you would get NYU ED so that would be my play if I were you.

I had almost exact same gpa as you (give or take 0.05) and a 175 on my lsat. I think you are fine for NYU (I was) but if you are set on Columbia then definitely ED, this is a no-brainer. Unless you are some type of URM or ex-armed forces you arre not going to get any merit $$, I can promise you that without a shred of doubt. Also, the competition has been steadily increasing, especially within the past 2-3 years. I don't want to give you false hope that EDing columbia is a sure bet for admission since you are pretty borderline and I don't know your softs situation.. (I had a few years of WE, went to an ivy, and had a really really good recommendation), I do think you have a good shot with ED, whereas without ED things look pretty bleak.

I do not think you need to ED NYU.

I know what you mean lol... my gpa was hovering at barely 3.3 going into my junior year (I was an uninterested pre-med student for 2 years), then I switched majors and turned on the afterburners.... I think I barely squeezed in the door at columbia.
