Does ED have any bearing on scholarships? I have a 174 and 3.86 at Ivy.

Why would you ED with those numbers? You have a shot at HYS.

I'm leaning towards UCLA, and would just like to get it out of the way, but not hurt chances for money.

Don't ED. If you get waitlisted because of YP and really want to go to UCLA then write a LOCI and use your acceptances to better schools to leverage scholarship money.

If UCLA is his/her dream then let it be. But i would no ED. Apply regular and also apply to USC and UT you will get acceoted and money at all 3. You can use the money from Vandy and UT to gain more from UCLA. You should be going on a full ride with your numbers.

Though it would be nice to hear why UCLA over HYSCCN?

I guess I'm just too pessimistic to think that I could actually get in at HYSCCN, but I'm certainly applying to a few of them. Not to mention that I'd like to get some money and have personal reasons for wishing I was out at UCLA. But thanks for the feedback guys, I applied but didn't ED and it was probably a damn good decision. Anyone want to give me an idea of my chances for t6? I'd be much obliged.

With a 3.86/174 Ivy, I'd say in at CCN, very good chance at Harvard, shot at Stanford depending on softs, and small chance at Yale.

You'll probably have a similar cycle as this guy: http://lawschoolnumbers.com/ndnguy86

UCLA's dean would poop their pants if they saw a 174/3.8 ED application.
