165/3.6
Strong LORs, pretty decent WE (managerial position while in UG and internships), strong PS (not that it matters much I guess)
Any shot at:
Notre Dame
WUSTL
UIUC
Wisconsin
Iowa
IU-B
Vandy (biggest reach)
Thanks

Shit...I was hoping I wouldn't hear that. So my chances at these schools are not very good?rad law wrote:I'd retake bro.nsideirish wrote:Chicago...have some decent connections here but I know the market is pretty shitty.

Chicago is a tough market to crack. You need a higher score to get into a school (namely UChi) that will make you competitive. Your numbers are pretty solid for the schools listed though.nsideirish wrote:Shit...I was hoping I wouldn't hear that. Edit: Other than Vandy and possibly WUSTL.

Illinois is your best bet if you want Chicago. The market in Chicago overall isn't looking great, but of the friends I have at Illinois now they seem to be doing fine (they are all current 2Ls).nsideirish wrote:Shit...I was hoping I wouldn't hear that. As for your chances, I know someone who got into Illinois with similar numbers, with $, but he came from Illinois undergrad as an electrical engineering major (Illinois seems to be one of the schools that's willing to bend the numbers for grade deflated majors), so if you come from a hard science/engineering background that will likely bolster your chances. Overall, with a solid application package you have a very decent chance of being accepted.
