Hi All,
I have a 166 LSAT with around a 2.86 GPA. I'm planning on retaking the LSAT and trying to get above a 170 because I had very little study time for the 166. The 2.86 is expected to rise to around a 3.1 by the end of the year. I'm trying to figure out if there is any benefit to sitting out this cycle and taking a year off and applying for Fall 2012? My thinking is that I can build better LOR relationships with professors, and boost my work experience for the next year and thus become a stronger all around applicant. Is it worth applying now if I want to go somewhere in the T50? Can I keep them informed of my rising GPA or will they likely reject me too quickly?
Thanks guys!

Wait. Below 3.0 is incredibly tough. The 3.1 will have a much much better time than the 2.86, as silly as that seems.

Thanks, that's what I was expecting and leaning toward. Is it possible to indicate the upward trend in GPA this semester and how it's expected to rise next semester? Or would anywhere worth going just ding me before I could update my GPA?
