I am on non-URM, just retook in October and got a 163. I applied last cycle and wasn't happy with my options, decided to retake. Is this a decent list? I feel like I need some sensible reach schools. Thank you for your input!
St. John's, Brooklyn, Temple, UConn, Maryland, Case Western, UNC, Pitt, Ohio State, Tulane (?).
I'm looking for some schollys but wondering if I should apply to a few higher ranked schools?

Also wanted to add that I have looked at LSN and LSP, but felt it wasn't super accurate for my last cycle, so I thought I'd get some other input.

dude apply a lot higher. You are a splitter.
Apply ot all the schools in the gw/wustl/nd/bc/bu range.... you will hit something.
Prob unlikely at Vandy.. but they will likely wl you.

I can't really afford to blanket vandy/w+l/georgetown etc level.
any tips on schools in the 15-40 range I could get into? Any thoughts on Cornell EA?

I would apply to William and Mary, UNC, Boston University, Washington University in St Louis, and Emory as reaches.
Take off St. Johns, BLS, Case, and Tulane. I would not pay sticker or even half price at any of those schools. U Conn is a solid choice and so is Temple. Also, throw in an application at Rutgers Newark and look for scholarships there.

This.
But I would emphasize uncertainty. You just never really know, even with Vandy. As thexfactor rightly puts it, you are a splitter. However, I would emphasize that if keeping expenses really low is a goal of yours, then your original list is closer to what you might be looking at. Even so, apply to these higher ranked places and just see what happens. If nothing else, you could use one of those eventual acceptances as leverage for money elsewhere.

write an email asking for a fee waiver. They might give it to you.
This is your future... check lawschoolnumbers.com
Spending 500 extra now could be worth thousands more. I would apply to as many schools as you can. Don't aim too low. Apply to 1 or 2 safeties at most.

Thanks for the replies! I do wanna throw some apps at higher ranked schools, I love BU so I might throw one there. Also W&M. My parents are dying for me to EA to Cornell but I feel like it's a waste of money..
