Johns Hopkins 3.15, LSAT 166, banking analyst + int'l work

Appreciate your input on my chances at a low T14 or top 20 school:

- Majored in economics at Johns Hopkins with 3.15 GPA
- Took the LSAT twice and got 164 first and then 166
- Worked as a banking analyst in DC for 2.5 years
- Bilingual and currently in Asia working as a translator/paralegal for a law firm (will have worked here for 1.5 years before I go back to school)

Numbers aren't stellar, but can my 4 years of work experience which includes both finance and law at well-known firms compensate for that? I'm thinking Northwestern, Georgetown, Cornell, and even Penn and Michigan.

TY!

You thought wrong.

Aim lower or retake the LSAT.

Retake, bro. That GPA will hurt.

Sadly, I think you're aiming a bit too high (and I have almost identical numbers to yours). If you haven't already, check out lawschoolnumbers.com. For example:

http://gulc.lawschoolnumbers.com/stats/0910/

No one got into GULC with stats even close to ours.

Some schools you might want to consider are Illinois, Washington & Lee, WUSTL, Wake Forest etc. The current schools you're considering would be more in line if your LSAT was in the low to mid 170s, not the mid 160s. If you're absolutely set on those schools, re-take.

Yup, you are going to need a 170 for the schools listed.

Thanks guys, for your input. Thought I'd assess my chance at my "reach" and now I'll try re-taking.
