Re: 3.91 GPA, 163 LSAT, (Mex) URM, Chances?
It's late at night; you might have to wait a while to get a lot of responses, especially with demand for chances running so high right now
I would say your chances are good at the lower half of the T-14, but getting more specific would just mean a trip over to LSN or hourumd.com. Others here have more specialized knowledge on admissions that can go beyond the numbers.

Re: 3.91 GPA, 163 LSAT, (Mex) URM, Chances?
We are pretty close to numbers twins (I'm 3.98 / 162) but I am not a URM. I trade the URM status off for military service and combat experience, other strong work experience and then the usual array of undergraduate excellence awards, highest honors, blah blah. Letter of recommendation from the Dean of College of Letters and Science.
I have everything in for:
BC
BU
Cornell
UC Davis
UC Hastings
UC Los Angeles [ED + Epstein Center separate application]
UC Berkeley
Stanford
USC
and UW (random, seemingly, but I have a lot of family in Seattle, so I could live for free there).
I'm already complete at USC. According to LSN, we should be receiviong looks at most of the T10 and below, and I think if you create a compelling application packet (Fantastic PS, outrageously awesome LoRs, etc) plus your URM status, I bet you'll get nibbles! I definitely bookmarked this page though since we're so close to numbers twins!
Your 3.91 GPA is LSAC GPA, right?

Definitely. I'm not giving up. I also had targeted LoRs sent to Stanford and Boalt, since my letter writers are alumni from those two schools and know people that still work there. I'm not really hoping for money at any schools besides maybe UW or Hastings and even then I'm not counting on it, I'd just like some acceptances and not as many dings, LOL.easternstandardtime1 wrote:Yes, it is LSAC GPA. Well, I hope we can still get away with some T10s. From what I have seen, it is certainly worth the application fees...
I'll promise to keep you updated if you do the same. By chance, are you applying to roughly the same type of schools I am? What's your list look like?
I got an LSAC fee waiver so I applied like mad. I should've applied to more schools but I am tied to my husband who is in pharmacy school.

Re: 3.91 GPA, 163 LSAT, (Mex) URM, Chances?
No, I am done with the LSAT. I am sure I'll get a bite from my safeties, and then I will be perfectly happy. I made sure to only apply to schools that I would be happy going to just in case. My 162 is 3 points higher than most of my PTs, and I really abhor logic games and the entire process to be honest.easternstandardtime1 wrote:Sure, I'll keep you updated. I have basically decided to blanket the T14 and see who bites. I am somewhat confident that I am likely to have some success at the lower end, but the upper/middle is less certain. As with all cycles, it takes a little luck, so we'll see.
I think with just a bit higher LSAT we could probably set our sights a little higher. But I'm not sure I want to go through the whole test-day thing again. Are you considering a December retake?
