Applied math/physics double major, took hard courses outside my majors as well (general/organic chemistry, engineering, certain honors math classes, etc). All of my lowest grades are in classes outside my majors.

My practice test scores predicted mid to high 160's, but I was nervous and didn't sleep at all before the test, so I think that may have lowered my score.

I'm looking to become a patent attorney.

Can I get into OSU early decision? Should I be aiming lower/higher? Should I retake and apply again next year?

Are you an OH resident?

Yes, and I'm an undergrad at OSU. Also not a minority.

that probably has more to do with that candidate having so much work experience.

I would retake if you can devote the necessary study time. But, if you want to apply this cycle and your heart is set on OSU, ED it already. I'd say good shot with ED, poor shot without. I'm in OH too and my lsat study buddy is doing this. He's 3.3/161, but I think it's effectively equivalent since you're both OH residents.

You're probably gonna have to retake.

If you do apply this cycle make sure you rock the PS. I've heard that OSU tends to place quite a bit of weight on the PS.
