thanks.

i'm not URM, softs are average (internship at law firm, random honor society), good personal statement and solid recs. overall, nothing that will help me or hurt me.

thanks.

i have a question about UCI; is is harder to get in there than hastings?

uci is kind of a wildcard to me, and i don't know whether or not i would attend if i got in.

UCI has higher numbers than Davis/Hastings because they offered full scholarships for the first class, 1/2 scholarships for the 2nd class, and will offer at least 1/3 scholarships for the 3rd class.

Yes, UCI is harder to get accepted to than Hastings.

A lot of people think UCI is a wildcard, but the people at UCI are very excited and confident about it. I suggest visiting and talking to people there if you're curious/uncertain. The 1/3 scholarship is certainly more than either Hastings or UC Davis will offer you. In any case, your numbers are good for Hastings and UC Davis (apply early to avoid waitlist, though). You have less of a chance at UCI, but it's worth applying since the application is free.
