you are in the t14. Apply to stanford on down. check LSN. You dont have a small chance at Stanford/CCN but then again you might get in. It is def worth applying to.
3-14+ Vandy+WUSTL or equivalent. Then negotiate scholarship.

Super nice to see that she got into the university of chicago. That is the school I really want to go to (of course ANY t14 would be nice). I'm going to try for the June 2011 test I think-if I do really well on diags, then I'll retake and will still have a shot to apply early. If not, then I'll risk it with a 168 (I don't hate my score, but it was lower than my PTs and schools are so competitive...)

why dont you just apply now and if you dont get into the school that you want... retake?
At the top end... a few questions will make the diff between 168 and 172.

You will have a good cycle and should apply broadly - you will likely get lower T14 - Cornell maybe UVA or GULC
But if you believe you can do better on the LSAT I would take it again - I had almost your same numbers and just completely changed my cycle by doing significantly better on the LSAT and as much as I hated being told to retake every time I posted on TLS I am very glad I did

If you don't think you can do better, don't retake. Apply at CCN down to USC and maybe a couple in the WUSTL/UIUC/Emory range. Enjoy.

oh whoops, I didn't mean to give the impression that I didn't think I can do better-I believe that I can. Will definitely apply to those schools, and we'll see how the next LSAT goes!

Sounds good. My prediction with your current score is that you end up at Cornell/UT/USC/UCLA/Vandy with scholarship money.
