Finally my turn to go! Just got my score. What do you guys think? Where should I apply? I'm from the NY area, so def have cardozo, brooklyn, fordham in mind, but also open to places as far out as the west coast if the school is worth it. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

You can check out my cycle from last year on LSN (I applied with a 3.45/168). With your numbers I would expect money at Fordham, and big money at Brooklyn/Cardozo. T20/T14 are a reach, but not completely impossible (I was WL'd at Columbia, Michigan, Northwestern, Cornell, and Georgetown, as well as UCLA, Vanderbilt and USC.

Do NOT go to Carbozo or Brooklyn.

Can we settle this once and for all? New York City is perhaps the most saturated market. Not only are you competing with the top NYC schools (i.e. NYU, Columbia), you are competing with top students Harvard, Yale and the like.

Without strong connections and little to no debt, why would you consider a school that automatically puts you at a disadvantage compared to your peers (like Brooklyn and Cardozo)?

Don't think that because NYC is a large market that it can sustain a flood of new grads. The jobs just are not freaking there.

*Takes a deep breath*

Thanks for the input guys. I'm really set on Cornell although it is a reach at this point. Any thoughts on my chances at Cornell?

Edit: I don't have much going in terms of softs.

Might be in the wait-list range. So, if you want to go there definitely apply. Good luck!

Depends on what you want to do

If your heart is set on NY (despite the challenges) I'd say consider ED'ing to Cornell, Fordham w/ $ is a good option and I would avoid Brooklyn and only go to Cardozo if they give you a lot of $

I think just from my reading of LSN you are in the Cornell waitlist range and will get into Fordham

Cornell doesn't have ED.

I wouldn't. You'll still have COL. You may not get a legal job other than doc review. Waste of 3 years.
