Hey, TLSers. Here is the deal. I have a 3.98 GPA at my UG but LSAC is factoring in this class I took at Fordham the year before I entered UG because I took it for college credit. It was a Calculus class which was not required by my university, I took it to challenge myself because this is my worst subject and my school told me if I got a B or higher that the credit would transfer but it wouldn't be factored into my GPA. Anyhow, LSAC of course is factoring this into my cum so my GPA is now 3.92. I don't know if law schools will overlook this since it's one class I took when I was 17 and was not required to take. I will definitely be writing an addendum. Anyhow, LSAT score I just got in from the October test is a 167. I will really go anywhere. I would like to practice law ultimately in NY, but this is the last school I will attend so I want it to be the best school I can possibly get into. With that said, I am extremely partial to Fordham and Cornell. What are everyone's thoughts? Thanks in advance!

I think you have a good shot with Cornell. You are right in the middle of retake territory. I really think you should consider retake. If not T10 is tough. You can try Berkley, ED UVA, but still with the good GPA a 169 will do you more favors.

I think I'm probably going to apply this cycle and then if anything transfer out. I would LOVE Cornell though. Top choice.

Don't count/plan on transfer because getting top 20% rank in school apparently is at least half luck. Apply to Cornell now.

Push them a little, since now everyone has scores, it's important to get in there soon especially at reaches. Get your apps ready, take your short with 1 letter if have to at schools that don't require 2.
