Ugh if I scored 2 points higher, I'd be in at a T-14...if I blanket 7-14, what are the odds that I get a bite?

I have a 3.84/167 and ED'ed at UVA and got WL'ed. I think for us 167's t-14 is going to be tough. Even Cornell moved their median to 168 last year and will it be worth paying sticker at Cornell? I'm personally crossing my fingers for Berkeley, which is the only school I think I will pay sticker for. More realistically, I'm looking at good money from GWU or BU since I will be practicing IP law. If you really want t-14, you've got a good GPA so a re-take might be in order.

Wow, I just looked at LSN for people with 167's at GW last year, and it looks like a 3.8+ generally clinched 105k in scholarships. Any speculation on if this cycle will be more competitive than last year?

Ya, that's what I'm hoping for. Some people even reported 105k plus 1st year housing stipend. I think this cycle will be similar to last cycle but I'm not sure how much GWU's numbers moved. They also jumped 8 places in the rankings but I don't know how much of a difference that will make.

Oh and I'm undecided regarding the retake. I was PT'ing around a 170 average and exhausted all available prep material. Though I'm pissed I didn't do better and really want to retake, I'm not sure that it's prudent considering that I was less than 1 SD under my average. All of my applications would be put on hold until the retake score comes in, right? I don't feel confident applying to reaches with potentially the same numbers after New Year's.

Ya 167 is a tough place to be regarding a re-take. It would only be worth it if you were super confident that you could score 170+ and you risk a sub 167 score which could hurt. Where do you want to practice? If it was in the west, you might want to ED at UCLA.

Also, regarding ED... If you will be able to start in the summer, I would ED to Mich.
