I will not be retaking. I ran my numbers on the predictor, spoke with the admissions people at my top choice, and they were excellent at breaking down the admissions information.vanwinkle wrote:I know it's not what you want to hear, but is retaking on the table?
Unless you're a URM, 160 will NOT put Cornell and Fordham in play. Cornell and Fordham's medians have both gone up since LSP was last updated. Besides, with such an extreme reverse splitter, LSP becomes hazy at best.serdog wrote:If you already talked to admissions and gotten the break down, and feel like you can get into school you want it sounds like you are fine. I will second that you should retake as it sounds like you would like to work in the New York region.

Retake or don't go. Bad job prospects from these schools.NJcollegestudent wrote:I will not be retaking. Also, i am going to have to check about 4 answer choices that were erased. I know their machines are good, however, my best attempt to erase may not have been sufficient.
Are you planning on having RU judge your app based on GPA/LSAT or accomplishments/work experience?NJcollegestudent wrote:Thanks for the responses, i really hope to go to Rutgers-Newark. After graduation i plan on perusing a career on the public sector, so big law is really not where i want to go.
I am not a urm, i am South Asian,so i am unsure what category i would fall in.
This is rapidly changing now that USNWR factors the numbers of PT students into the rankings. Schools are less flexible with PT programs as a result. It used to be that PT folks didn't factor into numbers at all, so they could take a full PT class worth of people below their medians, but that just doesn't work anymore.thexfactor wrote:no fordham pt might be in play with a 160. check lawschoolnumbers.com
Please do your research before you give TTT information. This isn't true at all. My brother was waitlisted with a 164/3.9.thexfactor wrote:no fordham pt might be in play with a 160. check lawschoolnumbers.com
before you chew me out. i said MIGHT be... not you are in. Check LSN last cycle and the cycle before. There have been people Wled with 161-162. What makes you think that they wouldn't WL at 160?Columbia Law wrote:Please do your research before you give TTT information. This isn't true at all. Public sector jobs are not easy to come by. Many local governments are not hiring. These govt. jobs can also be insanely competitive to get. You may not get a legal job at all.NJcollegestudent wrote:Aqualibrium wrote:I don't understand the people who say they don't care about big law, but are ok with taking out massive loans to go to school. Its not that we will be such debt, as Rutgers should equate to roughly 70,000 in debt after graduation assuming there are no scholarships. To help those in the public sector, there are some loan forgiveness programs, which are meant to help us transition and stay on the same level playing field as big law in terms of debt. Big Law really is not just my taste, and i would rather spend my legal degree on something in the public sector.
Thank you for the assessments though, and to the poster who asked how i am asking rutgers to judge my application, it is on LSAT and GPA.
