3.56 GPA and 170 LSAT: Michigan and UCLA?

Just got my LSAT score. It was on the low end of my expectations, and it knocks out NYU and Columbia out of the running, but I'm at least thankful that I'm still eligible for my other top choices; there's been a lot of shocking disappointments with the October LSAT.

I'm almost a little happy with my 170, because I think I secretly wanted to go to UCLA because after law school, I wanted to get involved in the film industry. If I had gotten a really high score though, it would've taken a lot of work to convince my parents to pass up NYU and Columbia.

Michigan's pretty cool too. I love the atmosphere there, or at least what I imagine to be the atmosphere there.

So what do you think are my chances with Michigan and UCLA, given my stats? I will have two letters of recommendation, from a Poli-Sci professor and an English professor.

Thanks!

ucla is too gpa oriented, unfortunately. wl there
michigan is a toss up. wl there too if last cycle can be used as a reliable predictor of this cycle.

id say in at USC. Apply to everything below michshitgan and you should get something in the T14... then you can decide whether to take scholarship at vandy/usc/wustl or t14.

Also add wustl as a bargaining chip. They will give you a decent amount of money.

What about UCLA? Or did you mean to say UCLA when you said USC?

hm I'm in the same boat (3.53, 170) so I'm just gonna stalk your thread instead of posting my own. I'm trying to decide if I should ED to Michigan or take my chances RD. Good luck!
