in at cornell. Why would you want to go to frozen hell on earth when you can go to UCLA/USC/georgeotwn or vandy?

Apply ot lower half of t14 from Michshitgan on down.... to usc. Then you can negotiate some money.

I looked at Vandy's medians and I look out for sure.

Same with Georgetown.

UCLA would be nice but I'm really an east coast sort of person...everyone I know lives here and I've been living in NY for my entire adult life.

Would bringing my GPA up to a 3.8 help my chances? Or would I be solid enough as it is?

check the graphs. You are not out at vandy... at worst WL. if you apply now IN.

Well I'm just worried since I have weak softs, people with identical numbers as me with stronger softs will most likely get in over me.

my philosophy is when in doubt apply. If you see people getting wled with similar stats as you, then I think it is worth applying. YOu only have one chance to apply to law schools.(unless you transfer)

You dont want to check LSn in march and see that someone got into x school with the same or worst stats as you and think i should of... applied.

What schools do you think are worth an app? I was thinking of applying Cornell down.

michshitgan on down... and dont stop until USC. Then add in 2-3 schools in the bc/bu/fordham/nd/wustl range and negotiate scholarship. I would prob apply to wustl because they are pretty generous with scholarship money.

if you want to throw a hail mary pass you can also apply to NYU. People HAVE been WLed with your numbers... again not saying you will get in. check LSN.

Make sure you apply to UT. Cornell takes scholly money from Texas into account when negotiating scholarship amounts.

Median LSAT is now a 169. It's def. worth the app. Maybe in, maybe WL, who knows.

I don't think I can even negotiate a scholarship from Cornell. I'd be ecstatic just to get in and pay sticker.

You'll be in at Cornell, probably not Georgetown, but you are definitely in at the majority of 15-20.

See PM. For others reading this, once you're in somewhere, it's always worth asking for money. You'd be surprised how generous some schools can be.

Thanks for the replies. Especially to the two above. Makes me feel a lot more confident going into this cycle - I just hope it isn't false confidence.
