University of Houston I'm hopeful, but sure is out of my range. What about LSU??? I am wanting to stay in Texas or Louisiana if possible, but at same time want to go to best possible. Any help appreciated. thanks

other members can probably help you out more than i can, but i would imagine if you can get that lsat into the 163/164 range you should have a good shot at tulane and certainly others.

I know its as cliche as apple pie, but retake. The LSAT makes a huge difference, and ITE you have to be careful.

Retaking is probably a great idea but you should still apply to Houston because I think you got a shot there. Also you could look into Tech (although who really wants to live in lubbock?) and I've heard South Texas College of Law places well in Houston (though be aware that its a Tier 4 school). LSU is also a good possibility. If I were in your shoes I would definitely retake... getting 3-5 points higher would pretty much guarantee you get accepted.

You probably could get into Baylor or SMU easily if you boosted it above a 160...
