I know you all won't know the facts since you're not on the adcomm, I just want opinions as to what could have gone wrong. He applied in October...

gpa too low. another 3.4 got in though. differences; 179 lsat, 3.4 from hyp.

He lists himself as an URM (Hispanic). Pretty surprising that he got rejected with those numbers, IMO.

Only Mexicans and Puerto Ricans get URM boost. Could be dirt poor Guatemalan or Columbian and they wouldn't give a damn.
