Do they count?

Will having a 4.0 help you when you're applying or a 3.0 break you?

Are you asking if the grades that you earn during the semester during which you are applying to law school count for anything?

If you are, then:
If you don't have a decision from schools by the time you get your fall grades and you got a 4.0 you can update your transcripts which would raise your GPA and maybe help you out.

If you get a decision before fall grade then your grades don't count except to show the school you didn't fail out and are still graduating.

If you get a 3.0 then just don't update your transcripts and you're fine...pretty sure you will have to send updated transcripts at the end of the school year to show you passed all your classes. So you should do your best but if you dip down a little it's probably okay.

Some schools may ask for fall grades if you are borderline candidate.
