I am in dire need of your advice... Please help!
I have an upward gpa trend but overall a 3.33.
I also have multiple lsat scores - 167, 163, 170.
I've also been working as a social worker for a year and will continue to do so until law school starts (hopefully 2011 fall).
What are the schools I should be applying to?
My dream school is Gtown but my gpa seems too low for it...
Would it be possible with ED?
Please let me know which of the top 20 schools I have a shot at!
Thank you in advance for your awesome advice~~~!!!!

Yea your GPA makes your cylce iffy.
You've got a shot at UVA, Michigan, Penn, Northwestern, Cornell and Georgetown. But you aren't a shoe in for any.
You'll almost for sure get UVA with ED. You've got a great shot at NU with ED, and good shots at GTown, Michigan and Penn with ED.
If you want to maximize T14 acceptances you should IMO do the following:
Apply ED to UVA tomorrow. You'll get results in 15 days. If you don't get in, apply to Michigan ED. If you don't get in there apply Gulc via their Late ED.

This. Three ED shots with a 170 LSAT are your best odds of getting into at least one.

What DesertFox said. But make sure that you would be perfectly happy going to whichever school you are EDing to.

A 3.3/170 has a very, very, very small chance of getting into Penn, but yes, UVA -> Michigan -> GULC is the way to go.

Thank you so much for your replies!
I didn't even think it consider Penn to start with...
and I'm actually so excited that I might have a chance at the other schools!
Why is it recommended I apply to GULC last (with late ED)? That is my dream choice actually... Are they slow in giving their ED response?
Thanks again everyone! I would have never thought of applying to schools at different times...

If it is your dream apply there first. I was just maximizing your chances of getting any T14.

UVa does a 15 day turn around on their ED with no deadline. UMich has a deadline of Nov 1 but if submitted earlier you will generally get a response in November. GULC has a deadline of Dec 1.
This means that you can do 3 ED's due to the way that their deadlines and responses are given. Arguably, V has stronger placement than M which has stronger placement than G. But if you really prefer GULC then you can do there first and then UVa, but being able to do 3 ED's becomes unlikely because not many have a later deadline than GULC (only Duke and UVa, iirc).
