168 and 3.7

The lowest ranking schools I plan on applying to so far are

Boston College,
William and Mary
UNC
and
Fordham U.

Honestly, for law school, I really only want to end up in LA or NYC. Possibly DC.
I've applied to higher ranked schools in LA/NYC that I would love to attend but I want to be safe/realistic so are these 4 schools ok?
Not as "safeties" per se but do I have a 80% + chance of getting into 1/more of these schools?

Any other suggestions? Don't think I would apply to something like davis in norcal or Chicago schools in the T30 because I don't want to end up in the midwest at all.

At least add BU and Vanderbilt.

If I were you, I would apply to the lower half of the T14 + UT, Vandy, UCLA, and USC, + Fordham, BU, BC, GW, and whatever other safeties you wanted to include. Keep in mind you can ask schools for merit application fee waivers, which helps saves money when applying to safeties. Also keep in mind--applying to schools that are known to hand out large scholarships (like WUSTL, Illinois, and Emory) can potentially provide you with leverage in trying to negotiate money out of other schools.

Those are fine as safeties.

EDIT: Though you may want to considering to midwest schools in case you want to try and leverage a possible scholarship at one of those schools against a school you do want to go to.

Thanks bk187 and Richie,

BU, GW, and UT are already on my list (they were a bit higher ranked so I left them off the post here)
I would love to attend UCLA/USC.

Thanks for the advice about leveraging schollys. :)

You should be fine at USC
