Chances at Fordham?

I'm a pretty solid splitter - 3.1/171. Good undergrad. 3 years work experience (at matriculation in 2011). What are my chances at Fordham? Should I apply PT instead and continue working?

Any thoughts or advice is very much appreciated. I know LSN says Strong Consider, but not sure how solid that is...

+1. I was WL this last cycle with a 3.34/170. I was then let in w/ 15k/yr scholarship in May, maybe June.

Thanks for the advice. I am from NY, so it wouldn't be a problem for me to do PT and continue working. Do you suggest I apply PT?

Sibley - when did you apply? I'll definitely apply EA and as soon as possible. Hopefully that'll help my chances somewhat.

That will nearly definitely help. I applied a little late - the first week of January. I somehow bombed the LSAT in the fall and had to retake in December.

Go to UVA instead.

Sibley are you going to Fordham this fall?

I'll likely apply to UVA, if for no other reason than I got a fee waiver from them so I may as well. I would definitely like to stay in New York though, but my main concern is good placement in New York after school so I'm open to any other suggestions.

I know these are issues that have been raised a thousand times on this site, so thanks for everyone's input.

No, I'm going to GW. When you apply to UVA... if they defer you, switch your application to ED at that time if you want to go. Then they're highly likely to let you in.

I was admitted to Fordham for this fall with a 3.3/169, although I did have a very significant upward trend (low GPA freshman year-3.9 for the following three years). I think you'd eventually get in if you really wanted to go there, but you'd have to make clear (probably multiple times, to multiple people) that you're actually interested in attending and not just applying for the hell of it. And even if you apply early, you'll probably have to wait to hear towards the end of the cycle.
