Hey Guys,

I am a junior at University of Rochester, what are my chances for the AILE program at Columbia?

Not true, any junior can apply. Your chances are good, but I would recommend thinking twice before you apply. Do you really want to take on extra coursework in addition to your law school workload? You must be graduating early if you're thinking of applying; you wouldn't rather have a 9 month break before law school? Do you want to miss the opportunity to graduate with your undergrad class?

Most importantly, if you are competitive enough to be accepted under the AILE program, you are a definite in under regular admission.

Keep your grades up, apply to HYS, go to one of those.

I think a 3.9+/173 is a ~70% chance at H past several cycles.

If you're a junior at another university, I'm not entirely sure how you can fulfill their entry requirements of being a) not a transfer and b) having six or more semesters of study at Columbia.

You'll be plenty competitive as a regular applicant, though. Which, I recognize, would delay your graduation a year from what it would be with AILE. But, given the economy, it might be for the best anyway.

So it looks like I am better off doing the regular route! This has been on my mind for the past three years guys! I really appreciate all of your help! Thank you so much, and wish me luck!
