Top Law Schools

Hello,

As I study and ask for recommendations, I've been creating a (very) preliminary list of schools I may apply to this upcoming fall. I'm curious to know what chances I would have with a 3.53 GPA (from a top 5 liberal arts college, although I suppose this doesn't matter at all...) and a 170 LSAT.

Would I have any chance at NYU ED? Or should I wake up to reality?

No chance at NYU ED, with both numbers below the medians of ~3.75/171.

I am applying with a 3.52 and a 170... I also have relatively good softs...

I have accepted the fact that I have no shot at the top 6 law schools

172 to have a good shot
173 to get in for sure

I have a 3.49 and 173 and I don't think I'd get in ed for sure. Unless LSN is wrong or that .04 makes that much of a difference.

To OP and inmans:

My experience may help you. I applied a year ago with 3.59, 170. You have very borderline numbers for schools 7-14. Therefore, you absolutely must apply earlier than later, otherwise you will end up on every school's waitlist. However, so long as you apply before mid-november/december, you both should end up with some nice acceptances. goodluck
