Has anyone done this? I want to know how law schools would know if you EDed to more than one school. What if I wanted to ED to GULC and GW.

It's a legal contract. You may not do binding ED to more than one school, unless one of the schools has already rejected your ED application.

They do report ED acceptances to other school.

Please try it and find out.

Actually, you could ED to more than one school in a cycle, but only if you submitted the second ED app after you were rejected or deferred from the first school.

Edit: Kalvano beat me to it.

They'll both accept you and offer full rides + stipends since they know the competition for you is FIERCE. Good luck!

The ED agreements I've seen have a section in them that says something like "if you're accepted under ED we will let other law schools know".

For example: From Northwestern's ED form: "Northwestern reserves the right to provide peer law schools with the names of applicants accepted under our Early Decision program."

That's how they find out. Then you're boned.

I withdrew from UChi the day after I got into NU ED without giving a reason, and they replied back, "Good luck at Northwestern!"

And then there was that kid who thought he'd use his ED app to CLS for "leverage".

The whole profile went up way to fast for it to be real. Also see the rant about law school being a scam. Faaaake.

There is a post somewhere I remember reading where a Dean said they do find out, both schools revoke offers, and they notify all other schools of your breach of contract.

To be more specific with this question. Would it be wrong/unethical/etc., to apply for one binding ED, but also other non-binding EDs?
