pretty consistent transcript, t20 UG, seriously considering EDing to one of the CCNMVP to try limit the stress of the whole process (thinking columbia) but wanted to know out of CCNMVP if i'm looking for NYbiglaw what was best
lsp has me at strongs on mvp, how much harder will it be for ccn? certain things to highlight in PS for these?
oh yeah and no retakes or anything idk if this matters

If you want NYC biglaw, Columbia is best. If you really, really want to go there, ED there. You won't get any $$$ if you ED, though, but you'll definitely have an easy cycle.

yeah and based on some research ive done on biglaw attys there seem to be more from cls than hls and sls anyway, or at the very least similar amounts. i wouldnt really be throwing away any huge advantages by EDing at cls and tossing the really slim chance at h and s right?
assuming of course it is worth it to pay sticker at cls instead of schollys at other t14s

I would say that you have legitimate chances at H and S. Like someone else said, if you're seriously just looking for NYC big law, then Columbia is just as good, so no need to go after these schools. For many other options, though, there's a pretty big difference. ED at Columbia certainly wouldn't be crazy if you really know what you want.
Also, I don't know about relying too heavily on lawschoolpredictor. Obviously the thing can't be perfect for everyone, but it lists my numbers as a straight-up deny for the school I just finished 1L at, and I had solid but not spectacular softs.

yeah i saw your stats, comparable to mine but you were hyp UG i think that makes a big difference...im more worried about taking that shot at h or s, not EDing and the getting the thin envelope from hls, sls and cls...that would suck

and if you don't mind me asking when did you find out that you were getting a jr1 with those stats? oct/early on or later?

if i wanna go biglaw does it matter which one of CCN, or even $$ at MVP? and am i really giving anything up by EDing to CCN thereby eliminating the slim shot at sls, hls

You will get into one of Chicago/NYU without ED with those numbers and those place the same (more or less) as Columbia in biglaw. You have a shot at YHS, so don't ED to Columbia.

I applied somewhat late in the cycle in December, so I don't know how useful the info will be. From what I remember I went through the whole ts1-ts2 (as it was back then) process very quickly. H was the second school I heard back from.

columbia is the best for biglaw out of ccn.and i think nyu only has an advantage over mvp if you want to do biglaw specifically in NYC.
unrealistic reach: hy
realistic reach: stanford, columbia
target: uva, mich, berkeley
strong target: chicago
safety: nyu (~40k scholly) , penn (~75k scholly), duke (~70k scholly)
