How valuable is a MBA in the decision process of the T-20-40 schools and being a URM as well?

Yep, very little. They don't even look at you gpa for it or anything. Disclosure: I'm getting my MBA, but I'm doing it for me, and due to the type of law I want to practice. Admissions dept at various schools have very politely told me they coudln't give a crap.

I think you were asking about how long people (myself and Warbucks) studied for the LSAT to gauge for yourself.
If self-prep works for you then I recommend reading the Powerscore LRB/LGB and then finding a RC method that works for you (I hear Voyager's on these forums is good). Then take every single PT you can (most of them under timed conditions once you get the hang of it).

I plan on doing that, and a class as well....
