All three are iffy, but you've got a low but not terribly low shot at each of the three. Columbia least likely, NYU most likely.
Penn
Michigan
UVA
WL or Accept; they really like Why X? essays so write them.
Boalt? -- is it even worth it?
No it isn't.
Northwestern
In if you have work expereince, WL if you don't.
Duke
WL
Cornell
Depends how they like your application. You've got a good shot, but don't be surprised at a rejection
Georgetown
In
Texas
Likely reject, but worth an app
UCLA
WL

I really like NU. Does 2 years peace corps count as WE?

Why are your majors vauge? Seems pointless to hide that bit of info.
Anyway, I would concentrate on the bottom of that list with an ED to NW (as DF said, with WE and yes Peace Corps can count), UVA or PENN.

ED to NYU.

2 years of peace corp is not quite what they are looking for. Nevertheless, you have a great shot of admission to NU. Apply early, do the interview, impress, etc.

+1. This would be my course of action if I had the OP's numbers and were willing to pay sticker.

Yes it does. If you have that, you are in.

I wouldn't ED in this case. He has a legit shot at most of the lower t13. He also has a shot at CCN, albeit tiny.

is ED to NU necessary? Like, there is no shot at dollars?
I would prefer to ED to NYU or PENN, but if NU ED is necessary, I will ED.

Don't ED to NU, you'll get it anyway.
Maybe ED to your choice of CCN. NYU is your best bet.

Don't ED to NU. It is not necessary, not by a long shot. That ED is probably best served if you use it on NYU.

Where would you ED?
I would prefer CCN or P, but, for me, NU is as good as M or V (/w as little as 10-20k I would bite over V).

NYU
Send Why X? to Penn, M and V.

it's most likely that you will end up at either northwestern or georgetown. if you want to lock up a t14 acceptance ED to either of those 2 schools. if you can stomach some risk ED to one of the realistic reach schools.
unrealistic reach: HYS, columbia, berekely, duke, ucla
realistic reach: nyu, chicago, penn, michigan, uva, texas
target: cornell
strong target: northwestern, georgetown

Totally inaccurate. You can do way better than Georgetown, and you do NOT need to ED NU unless your application is totally terrible in spite of your great softs. ED at Penn or UVA is pretty much a lock (
very few >3.2/>175 applicants are denied ED, I've seen <3.2 applicants get in ED at Penn, even with a 170-175 LSAT).
Berkeley, Duke, UCLA are all GPA heavy. HYS is out, common sense. Columbia is a small possibility, but a very long reach (I wouldn't say unrealistic though, I've seen a 3.3/177 get in). Texas is also GPA heavy and doesn't really like out of staters. Michigan is very kind to science majors.

Man, I'm so freaking confused now. I really want to believe everyone that's saying ED NYU, but I have this creeping fear that I'm going to get smacked in the face by a GTOWN/NU rejection (Anyone that's gone through the process can hopefully empathize).
I really don't want to ED and lock myself into GTOWN/NU if it's not necessary. I mean, after serving in the peace corps for 2 years I'm not exactly flowing with cash, any dollars would be really helpful. I may be overoptimistic, but I had originally thought I'd have a solid shot at MVP. I know that me being a splitter means I shouldn't be too choosy, but I can't help but feel like a gtown ed is a little too harsh.
That being said, I would really like some more input, esp. from anyone whose already gone through the process (if you have similar numbers or have anecdotal evidence that would also be really sweet). TYIA, this site has been a wealth of information. I really appreciate everything.

ha...i actually didn't notice your really good softs like peace corps....my assessment is basically just based on your numbers, but who knows what your softs will net you.
it sounds like you're really counting on some scholly money so definitely do not apply ED to northwestern or georgetown (you already have about a 2/3 - 3/4 shot at each of those). this is what you can do....even within the group i classify as realistic reaches there are some differences. you should apply ED to the realistic reach school where your stats are the most attractive so that the bump you'd get from applying ED will be more likely to get you over the hump.
Apply ED to UVA (closer to a 1/3 shot compared to the other realistic reach schools where your chances are about 1/5).

What is this crazy bullshit. UCLA will take you, NU will take you, don't ED. NYU ED is credited, especially if that's a legit LSAC 3.3 and not a 3.27 (3.3 is sort of a floor there.) Given the economy if I didn't care about location I would ED to NYU but focus my efforts on trying to get $$$ from MPVN. Boalt is not impossible but $$ is unlikely so unless you have a reason to want to go there you could leave it out.
Anyway, don't let these people confuse you, go to lawschoolnumbers.com and look at the graphs for the last few years.
Jeez. gl.

ucla's 3.45/3.5 floor this cycle is very obvious. and the cycle before the floor was a flat 3.4. the graphs show this.

Listen to this. I was a science major in undergrad and had the same uGPA as you. My cycle this past year went exactly as LSN predicted.
Don't expect any breaks because of your science pedigree. I didn't receive any (that I was aware of at least) despite also having a PhD. Law schools are simply slaves to USNWR ranking criteria.
Good luck with your applications and congratulations on your outstanding LSAT score.

Well, there's not a lot of data on LSATs that high, and there's a mix of WLs and acceptances. You're right, I shouldn't have said "will take you," but he's got a shot and its sort of irrelevant to the discussion anyway, since his targets seem to be CCNMVPBCG. Saying it's an "unrealistic reach" is a joke.
Regardless, hopefully OP is off at LSN figuring all this out for himself.

ED at UVA and you'll know in 15 days. If you time things right, you could ED to multiple schools and still get your apps in fairly early to the rest of your schools.
