Top Law Schools

So I'm a student at the grade deflated HYP, decent softs - varsity athlete, run a small business, and an internship at a small DC law firm last summer.

I am wondering about the benefits of applying ED and in general the chances with my stats. I think I will also send apps to NYU, Chicago, Penn, UVA, Georgetown and probably a few others. Thanks for any advice people might have.

With a 3.46 your basically locked out of HYS, so I'd go ahead and ED to Columbia if thats your top choice and your ok with the financial numbers. (Columbia does still offer reasonable grants based on financial aid compared to other T14 schools).

You prob wont get into Columbia with RD. With ED, I think you get in. If you don't mind paying sticker and def want to go there, you should ED.

But you prob will get Chicago or Penn RD

i'm sure the ratio out of 15000 posts is pretty decent

I have basically those exact same stats: 3.44/176 P and am EDing Columbia soooo hopefully it's good enough and I see you there next fall. Good luck.

I've got a 3.45 and a 174 and I'm definitely EDing as it's my best shot at a top 4 school (since HYS are probably out with my gpa).

I had very similar numbers last cycle(3.45, 176) and I was accepted ED at CLS.

Are you still in school? I'm guessing you are since you wrote "am a student." Be prepared they may ask you for updated transcripts before accepting you ED. I didn't receive my acceptance until two days before Christmas last year because of the transcript request. Also, I applied to NYU and got in within a week and a half.

You are in at CLS and NYU

I had a 3.42 and 174 and got in at both during the regular cycle.
