Top Law Schools

Hey everyone. So I am biracial, Mexican and Chinese ( yeah yeah its amazing I know. haha I've heard it all.) And from what Ive learned from this thread, Asians are not considered URMS but mexicans are. I want to go to law school in San Francisco where there's definitely a lot of Asians. Ok, so what I am basically wondering is how law school admissions will view my race? I have a Chinese last name, but I speak Spanish and have lived in Mexico(which I dont know if my experience in Mexico will fit in my app since it was in high school and I dont want to focus my ps on it). Will law school admissions give me the same consideration that they give full hispanics, or would they see my last name and since Im also Chinese, treat me like another Asian?

If you check both boxes when they ask for your ethnicity, I don't know why you wouldn't qualify as a URM. But it might help to talk about it (even a little) in your PS about your ties to Mexico.

Check both boxes and you will get the bump for the Mexican box. Write a separate statement discussing diversity, like your time in Mexico.
