Just curious where I stand. No regional barrier for me, ho-hum softs (President of Quiz Bowl, occasional work or volunteering). Wondering what my chances are for T14 regarding acceptance or potential scholarship offers.

Hopefully more exciting contributions to this forum to come.

Where do you want to go? What kind of URM are you? With those numbers you have a shot across the board. I'd suggest applying to the whole T-14.

It all depends on your race.

That darn race issue. Will be the death of me. I'm a halfer, 1/2 Mexican 1/2 White. Last I checked that still qualifies me for URM correct? I have my sights set on the T6 or T10, but I'd be happy with any T20.

That qualifies. Are you coming right out of undergrad?

Well, the conventional wisdom is that PR and Mexicans get a solid URM bump, but not necessarily as much as other URMs. In my opinion, you have a good shot at CCN, but not guaranteed. An outside shot at Harvard, and should be pretty set for MVPB. I'd say, apply to the T14 schools that you want to attend and throw in one or two between 14-20 to see what kind of scholarships you get offered.

One last thing, apply very early in the process.

Thanks for the tips. I planned on starting my apps as soon as possible anyways.
