3.5, 158-->168

Post by scruffs mcguff » Tue Jun 29, 2010 10:58 am

Got 158 in December '09, 4 pts below by PT average. Read Powerscore Bibles, studied the right way, gained confidence, got a 168 in June 2010.
GPA - 3.5
Softs - 3 years work experience running a brain imaging study on elderly patients at a hospital
Standard LORs - boss and work collaborators (doctors) and a professor from undergrad
NC resident

I know it's easy to punch in my higher LSAT and GPA into LSP but I'm still not convinced at how some of my reaches/targets would view the 158. I'll definitely write an addendum for those that request/recommend it but be honest on my chances or convince me they don't care and only see the 168.

Reaches - Penn, Cornell
Targets - Vandy, WUSTL, Emory, Notre Dame, Boston College, North Carolina
Safeties - Colorado, Wake Forest, Maryland

Schools won't care about your 158.

And Vanderbilt is a reach.
