LSAT: 167
UGPA: 3.77
Political Science major, Journalism minor
Fall 2009 graduate (3.5 years total undergrad)
Strong softs: Extracurriculars, Phi Beta Kappa, etc.
White Male
I'm just looking for advice on how high in the rankings I should apply before it becomes a waste of an application fee.

My guess would be Berk on down. Good chance a lot of T14s will result in WL but I think you ave a solid shot at a couple at least.

That GPA doesn't look high enough to off set the 167 for Cal.
Very good shot at USC with those numbers. Probably in at WUSTL and other T20ish schools; Cornell/GT/Duke/Etc. are worth a try... UCLA and UT are possible; not sure if they give instate boosts.
To tipler,
Your numbers were closer to mine than OP's (165/3.75). Those two points on the LSAT are a bitch

... If you applied early, I'd give you a good shot at BC/BU/Fordham-ish schools, and $$ at T2s. I applied late and was WLed at BC/BU/WUSTL, rejected at GW/USC/UCLA, and in at Fordham/W&M.

Any T14 besides Cornell, plus UCLA would be a waste of an app fee, IMO.

Two people I know with nearly identical numbers (slightly higher gpa) just applied last cycle, both ended up at BU with 2/3 scholarships. Accepted at emory. Everything above was a waitlist I believe.
