If you wanted to stay near NY and had little chance of financial aid. Maybe instead you'd hold out for some money from Penn or NYU? Or just pray your retake bumps you above a 172?

what were you scoring on PTs? with that GPA you might want to retake for a shot at HYS.

Would you take CLS at sticker over 75K at UVa, 65K at Duke or 45K at Michigan? If so yes. If not no.

But retake anyway.

170 was on the lower end of my PTs (mostly around 173-175 heading into June). I'm really hoping for a jump since my nerves will be gone, but I don't want to risk being waitlisted at CNP if not all goes according to plan.

And yes I would most likely pay sticker, simply because my SO of 5 years is in NYC and I really can't imagine being more than a state away. We had a long distance relationship (Penn-NY) all through undergrad and that was tough enough.

I'd say retake... you shouldn't waste that GPA. Boston isn't that far from New York should you get into Harvard, and I think your employment prospects from Harvard relative to Columbia would justify going there. A few points might also put you in the running for the Hamilton or decent $$ at Columbia.

Sleeping with the same girl since high school is unprestigeous.

Retake, cancel if you don't feel right.

Better than you sleeping with no one since high school.

Well, I'm a girl, so technically I've been sleeping with the same guy.

Regardless, I will be retaking. I'm considering holding off signing the ED contract until October scores are released, if they are released before the ED cut off date.

Well then you are more prestigious.

Oct scores should release before. Good luck.
