3.9 GPA, 160 LSAT- What are my chances for UC Davis/USD?

I graduated with a 3.885 GPA in history from UCLA with 24 units pass/fail, 136 graded units, and 20 units carried over from high school. I had virtually no extracurricular activity in college. I've started volunteering an an animal shelter, though I don't know how much that will make a difference. I'm a 21 year old white male and California resident, for what it's worth.

What are my chances at these schools?

I haven't looked at those schools too much but I would guess 166-167 for UCLA and 169-170 for Boalt.

If you can demonstrate that you had a bad SAT or ACT score and yet still performed very well in college (addendum), this will help your case at some schools. 160 is not gonna go far though either way with these schools. They have way too many applicants to force themselves to consider every single story of bad test taking.

This is not true. There was a thread recently about Boalt's relatively low LSAT median, compared to other similarly ranked schools, which would likely give yuo some more answers.

Berkeley loves high GPAs and intersting applicants, hence why they give you four pages to write an PS. While 160 may not be high enough for admission, if you improved to the 165-169 range you would be competitive.

Berkeley's numbers are 3.68/3.83/3.95, 165/168/170, so a 3.89 isn't a high enough GPA to overcome <165 without extraordinary softs, IMO. Also the lack of ECs during college will hurt a lot.

Im so confused, the title is asking about UC davis and USD (university of san diego). Why is everyone talking about Boalt?

Anyways, sorry this is so long after this thread has died, but i think you have a great shot at both these schools, especially USD
