Can I get into a Top 6 school?

GPA: 3.25 (4.0 GPA last three years, should I add an addendum for this)
African American Male
Trying to get into a Top 6 school, specifically NYU or Columbia.

okay so there apparently no use in asking this question the way I worded it.
The point I want to emphasize is if the 4.0 GPA over the last three years help improve my chances more
because I was horrible for my first year (1.8 GPA, Freshman Year)
