If there's anyone wondering if you're getting off the waitlist at UT, let's talk. I have 3.7, 163, TX resident and was pretty surprised to be put on the waitlist at all.

Anyone have perspective if they're going to use it? Or if you've been accepted when their deposit deadlines are?!?

i heard they dont take too many people off the waitlist but that's just through the forums so it could be wrong. though you have very respectable numbers i think it really depends on when you applied. did you apply early or late in the cycle? this year has been the most competitive year for law school admissions so what could have possibly admitted you in cycles before may not be the case now. i wish you the best of luck though!

deposit deadlines were earlier this month (April 15th).

Thanks for the great advice!! I haven't been able to find out much information at all on their waitlist. I know it's a long shot but I applied mid January, so hopefully that might be early enough. Also sent in a LOCI with updated resume and a rec from an alum.

Will you be at UT next year?

I thought you meant "surprised to be put on the waitlist at all" to mean you thought you would've been an auto-admit, but now I realize perhaps you thought you were going to be rejected outright.

I apologize if I misinterpreted.
Haha yeah, I did think I would be rejected outright. That was a little harsh but nothing I didn't know already. Just trying to weigh if there's any chance at all. Thanks for the advice though!
