Wasn't sure what forum to put this under, so i just chose one. Obviously it's somewhat rare, but I thought it would be interesting to see who out there has a higher or similar
GPA in law school to what they got in undergrad...

I'm sure high LSAT splitter who start applying themselves in law school routinly get higher GPAs than they ever got in UG.

I think chances are high- especially since I'm in such a grade-deflated major.. blah!
Also the law interests me greatlt.

If I don't get higher then it means I'll be the bottom 25%.

It happens. Nothing particularly special about it.

It's only been one semester so I can't start celebrating yet, but so far I'm about .5 higher than my (not-great) undergrad gpa

It happens more often at lower ranked schools than at higher ranked schools, obviously.

Maybe. Lower ranked schools tend to have much stricter curves with lower median grades than top schools. I'm not totally sure if this would cover the median or mean GPA disparity of lower and higher ranked law schools' entering class UG GPAs.

Given the curve here, my UG GPA would put me in the bottom 25% of my class. thankfully my actual law school GPA is much higher than that.

Good point. Still think it's likely.

Interesting thread. LSAC laid waste to my UG GPA, so technically yes. It is, however, lower than the number on my official UG transcript.

Yeah, mine will be higher. Applied with a 3.18, and I've never applied myself or enjoyed school that much. Law school, on the other hand, will be different. I've taken a few UG classes that go over some of the stuff, and I absolutely love it, even the drier material.
I'm looking forward to working my ass off for once in my life, instead of floating by with Bs. If I don't graduate with a 3.5, I'm going to be disappointed.

Meh, @ the above poster. I'm bored of the pessimism on here, but thanks for the input. Where I'm going, higher than a 3.18 is barely above median. But srsly bro, u kno me, lolmirite?
