I'm sitting out this cycle, so I'll probably have this in by September of 2010- pretty good softs (social work in 20+ countries), not URM. Chances?

50/50 chance. if you think you can improve your LSAT score even by 3-4 points, you should retake it. a 168 vs. a 164, for example, will do wonders for your chances of admission.

Are you a VA resident? If so, your current #s might be enough to get you in ED. If you're not, even a 168 might not cut it...that 4.0 GPA is really impressive, but without a 170+, it's tough for most of out of state applicants to get in.

I dunno, I think you have a good chance with your current numbers. Sure, improving the LSAT to a 168 would improve your chances, but your 4.0 and international social work experience sound stellar.

September application with ED is a lock with a 168, probably better than 50% odds with a 164. 170 out of state is unpredictable, maybe WL maybe not.

Thanks for the replies guys! Not a resident, but looking at the responses I think I'm going to study and take the June test, then (no matter how it falls) have my ED ready for September. UVA really is my number one choice, so hopefully I'll have happy news come October!

Wise course of action. Also, if you improve by, say, 6 points, you may not need ED at all. Just get that app in as soon as possible.
